Rather than continue to build in the future in Albuquerque, Chicago or the mid-Atlantic states, builder KBHome has announced it will be leaving those markets once it finishes up current projects:
The Los Angeles-based company said current conditions in the housing market are too difficult and it has decided for now not to build any more homes in Albuquerque, Chicago and the mid-Atlantic.
KB spokeswoman Lindsay Stephenson said the transition would be gradual since the company plans to finish its current projects and honor all warranties on homes already built.
