The Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U)
decreased 0.1 percent in May - mostly due to lower energy costs -- but rose 1.9
percent over the last 12 months. The
index for all items less food and energy rose 0.1 percent in May and 1.7
percent over the past 12 months.
